Can you help me out?

If you find these pages useful you can return the favour by downloading my FREE ebook from Amazon - even if you don't read it will help our rankings! I think you'll probably like it though.

It's the first book of a series of 9 books (so far) which tell the story of how life on Earth was saved from a cataclysmic extinction when a rogue planetoid collides with Earth in 7141. This first book deals with how humanity was made immortal, giving us the incentive to do something about an event so far in the future.

Take a touch of humour, add some genetic science and nanotechnology. Steep with conspiracy and stir in murder and despair. Season with romance between three people in a secret location. Garnish with morality.

The result is 'Immortality Gene', the first in a novel series by John and Shelia Chapman. Book 1 is FREE

A review from Amazon.com:
A Vested Interest is well written and a great read.
It is a story of corporate jealousy at the highest levels, greed, spite, vengence, advanced techonology, medicine, love and betrayal, and the very essence of life itself.
WOW - that is a lot to cover in one book! Read this book - you will be glad you did.

No e-book reader?

You don't have to have a Kindle. There are free readers available for Android, Windows and Apple phones, tablets and PCs. Here's the link to download them.

Donna Rigden is fed up with her boss at D'Netics Research Facility. She resigns - big mistake! Donna is now on the hit list of one of the most notorious men in the corporate US. He's without morals and doesn't accept the word 'no'.

Sir Richard, Donna's new employer showers her with luxury and makes her an offer she can't refuse. Now, once she's signed the contract, he asks her to use her medical expertise to commit murder. Donna probably would have walked away, but she'd been swept off her feet.

Richard sides against her; Donna feels hurt and betrayed. She turns to her new friend for help. Donna's life is turned upside down. Two letters and two secrets steer her future. Donna must make a life changing choice. Once made, there's no going back. Was it the right choice?

Death strikes! The infirmary's doctor is ordered to give his patient a mystery drug. He's told the drug is either a cure or a curse. Will he stand by his Hippocratic Oath or follow orders?

Donna wakes from a deep coma with part of her memory gone. She starts to remember, but parts of her past don’t add up. She remembers being married to Richard but can’t remember why. Was she in love with him? She has flashes of two different lives. In one she’s happy. In the other she’s trapped. Which one is real?

My wife Shelia has one and loves it. Get the 32 GB version though - you won't regret spending the extra. If you are like me and love to tinker with technical stuff get the new Google Nexus 7 instead (32GB) - It's not as user friendly when reading books from Amazon but it's far more versitile when you want to use apps from the Google Play store.

Leafi

Leafi

Found in:

Common in woodland or any location with trees.

Aggession:

Harmless. They won't attack. When attacked they run away slowly and frequently stop. Easy to kill

When killed drops (most common first):

Leafi leaves, vines, flowers, sinews, leather, goo, bones

As a pet:

Not really worth taming since they are common and offer no new items when fed as opposed to killing them

Top

Pigsy

Found in:

Most biomes but mountains and arctic

Aggession:

Not aggressive but will defend itself if attacked or you try to tame it

When killed drops (most common first):

Leather, bones, crystal shards, goo, sinews

As a pet:

Pigsys give the same items as when killed but also give pigsy droppings which can be used to fertilise crops. This makes them worth taming.

Top

Keepa

Found in:

Any location

Aggession:

Not aggressive even when attacked. They will run and are difficult to kill or tame

When killed drops (most common first):

Arcstone, coal, gunpowder, torches, extractors, notes, data chips, recipes, wooden sword, wood mining cell

As a pet:

In addition to the above tamed keepas can give mushrooms, walls, advanced extractors, stun bombs, obsidian swords, explosive bombs, armor and numerous other items making them good pets

Where is the keepa?Silver and gold keepas are also found occasionaly and should always be tamed - never killed - since they give far more rewards. Chase keepas to somewhere they can be trapped - a corner wall at least 3 blocks high or against water. If you make a water trap - use mineral water since it will not kill keepas. Tamed keepas are not killed by water and can swim to follow you.

If you see an expanding series of circles appearing on your compass, you'll find if you head in that direction there will be a keepa there.

Top

Dustevil

Found in:

Canyons and nearby deserts often where there are cacti.

Aggession:

If you approach what looks like a pile of bones they will wake and attack you. If you happen to jump they can throw you high in the air and you'll take fall damage when you come down. Spawns day or night.

When killed drops (most common first):

Dustevil dust, sand, cactus flowers, fossils, sinews, bones, goo, canyon items

As a pet:

Give the same products as when killed with canyon items being more likely.

Top

Warmworm

Found in:

Stalectite layer caves. If siltstone or stalectite blocks are placed on the surface they can form there too. Will not die in daylight.

Aggession:

When approached they rear up and strike at the character. They can also spit fire. They can't move but can despawn.

When killed drops (most common first):

Warmworm teeth, tourmaline,

As a pet:

You can kill a warmworm (or use a bell to tame it) by placing a block of stone next to it. Hit the warmworm from behind the block. It won't be able to get to you, even with fire. To place a tame warmworm somewhere you want your tame animals you'll need to persuade one to spawn there since warmworms can't follow you. Place a block of stalectite where you want it. Corrupt stone placed next to it seems to help them spawn.

Top

Rockster

Found in:

Sand beaches near water or near sand.

Aggession:

Very agressive and hard to kill with a wodden sword

When killed drops (most common first):

Rockster rocks, coral, magnetite, mud, sinews, bones, goo

As a pet:

They give slightly more than when you kill them. I find it's not worth the effort.

Top

Pebble

Found in:

near water

Aggession:

Won't attack but if you attack or try to tame them they will become very aggressive. They move fast

When killed drops (most common first):

Pebble pebbles, seashells, coral, bones, sinews, goo

As a pet:

They give slightly more than when you kill them. I find it's not worth the effort unless you want them for cuteness.

Top

Miru

Found in:

Caves in Stalectite and fossil layer. They will leave caves at night. They burn up in daylight.

Aggession:

Will attack as soon as they see you. Stay in water to kill them but as far back as possible. You can run from them. You can also kill them from a 3 block high mound or by running toward and past them while striking then turning and repeating.

When a miru is attacking it will often pause with raised arms then emit a blinding flash of light. During this process the player is turned around so the miru appears to disappear.

When killed drops (most common first):

Miru eye, brown mushrooms, bones, blue mushrooms, goo

As a pet:

Gives a higher reward than killing them. Looks great in a top hat and bow tie.

Top

Shrewdshrew

Found in:

Savannah

Aggession:

Get too close or attack them and they'll attack by breathing fire on you.

When killed drops (most common first):

Srewdshrew tails, brown mushrooms

As a pet:

Gives a higher reward than killing them. Looks cute.

Top

Trog

Found in:

Canyon

Aggession:

Attacks on sight. uses fists to hit character or two fists on the ground to create an earthquake. Can also produce a green energy fiels which can damage. Not easy to kill. Best method is to lure to water or mineral water.

When killed drops (most common first):

Trog horn, cactus and cactus flower, bones, sinew, goo, canyon rock, recipes

As a pet:

More likely to give recipes as well as mor of the kill products.

Top

Night leafi

Found in:

Any wooded area. Burns up in daylight.

Aggession:

very quiet. Attacks from behind usually. Can climb well

When killed drops (most common first):

leafi leaf, vines, sinew, yellow tree flower, goo, bones, leather

As a pet:

Not worth the bother but doesn't burn up when tamed

Top

Chizzard

Found in:

Jungles and surrounding areas, near water where there are trees, occasionally on mountains

Aggession:

Will defend itself if attacked. Lure to water or do a run and turn attack. Lure to water to tame.

When killed drops (most common first):

Chizzard gizzards, sinews, bones, goo, mushrooms, crystal shards

As a pet:

Worthwhile because they produce chizzard eggs used in cooking as well as kill drop items and blue flowers(I often wonder how a chizzard survives without it's gizzard.)

Top

Rambeau

Found in:

Mountains

Aggession:

Attacks if you are too near. Fight from water if you can.

When killed drops (most common first):

Rambeau tuft, brown mushrooms, ice, snow, bones, sinews, goo

As a pet:

Worth taming since they are found in out of the way places and are difficult to kill. Gives the same as kill drops.

Top

Blizzard Chizzard

Found in:

Anywhere there is snow and ice but especially on frozen oceans

Aggession:

Defensive and will usually leave you alone if you don't get too close

When killed drops (most common first):

Blizzard chizzard gizzards,

As a pet:

If you are near a frozen ocean or have a teleport there, they are not worth bothering to tame since they are so easy to find in daylight.

Top

Arctic Miru

Found in:

Night time in arctic and mountain areas, Tundra where there is snow. Burns up in daylight but may hide in caves.

Aggession:

Will attack as soon as they see you. Won't enter water. On ice the best method to kill them is to run past striking then turn and repeat. In mountains lure them to water.

When killed drops (most common first):

Arctic miru eye, peakstone, snow, bones, sinew, goo.

As a pet:

Not worth the bother if you are near an arctic sea since there are lots of them and they can be difficult to tame. Give the same items as when killed.
