JayDax offer several website design options to help you in the production of a superior web site and improve your corporate image.

Free Advice

The first options is absolutely free. On our website we offer a comprehensive 'Tutorials' including   Java Lake Tutorials and a 'Technical Glossary'. Follow our advice and produce your own web site. If you don't have the time or require something special, such as a JavaScript, Java applet effect page, embedded sound, custom graphic or animated gifs, then choose our single page construction service.

Single Page Construction

A single page which can act as a 'stand alone' website or be incorporated in an existing website.

Single page construction includes:

• text (up to 66 lines) supplied by e-mail or diskette
• links to other pages and/or e-mail link (up to 5)
• static or existing animated graphic in jpg,  gif or mp4 format.
• a standard effect (must be the main feature of the page) Examples of our pages or
• up to 3 active buttons (buttons which change colour when your pointer moves over them as those above) or
  mp3/midi file set to auto or manually play

You provide:

• text for each page by e-mail or diskette
• the images by e-mail or diskette
• the complete URLs of the pages you wish to link to
• the buttons as files by e-mail or diskette.  For a small fee we can produce custom made images. (You should remember that at least two images are required for 'onMouseOver' effects)
• midi or sound  files to be used

Presence on the Web Service

Basic Web Presence - a minimal package designed to provide basic information about your firm and it's location only.  It is 'without frills'  and at a 'rock bottom price'. Although designed for a business site, it could be used to post a résumé or CV. The site features the following:

• website constructed and hosted on your own web space. (May be obtained for you as an 'extra')
• up to 5 pages
• up to an average of 1 image per page (jpg or gif format)
• up to an average of  5 external links per page ( a total of up to 25 external links)
• submission of your site to 3 search engines; Google, Yahoo and Ask Jeeves.
• arrangement of at least one free e-mail account
• all user names and passwords needed to gain access to the site and e-mail address.

You provide:

• text for each page by e-mail or diskette
• the images by e-mail or diskette
• the complete URLs of the pages you wish to link to
• your choice of  our background images from this selection or one supplied by you (counts as one image in the package)
• keywords and description for META tags

• construction of your site on your own domain.
• construction from information you provide, up to 7 pages.
• addition of up to an average of 1.3 images per page
• addition of up to 30 external links
• construction of a CSS menu or if essential, construction of frames or an image map to navigate your site
• addition of titles and META tags so that search engines can find your pages.
• registration of your site with 3 search engines
• setting up for you, a 'free web based' e-mail address, e.g., hotmail, xoom, tripod, yahoo, e-mail address.
• provision of access codes and passwords for you to maintain your web site.
• using CSS to produce active links - set of 3 (e.g. as in the main window of the JayDax website)

You provide:

• text for each page by e-mail or diskette
• the images by e-mail or diskette
• the complete URLs of the pages you wish to link to
• the buttons as files by e-mail or diskette.  For a small fee we can produce custom made images.
  (You should remember that at least two images are required for 'onMouseOver' effects)
• midi or sound  files to be used
• keywords and description for META tags

By page, we mean a 66 line printed page. You should remember that a web page can be much longer if you wish.

Extras (Optional):

• low cost web hosting £43.00 ($60.00 US) per year
• POP3 e-mail account (taken with the above hosting) £43.00 ($60.00 US) per year
• forms and CGI form handling £15.00 ($26.00 US) per field (minimum three fields, requires low cost web hosting) - Allows the user to enter information on a web page and click a submit button to send the information to you by e-mail. See an example here
• counter, guestbook, message board, web tracker - service supplied by third party - £15.00 ($26.00 US) setup per item.
• counter, guestbook, message board, web tracker - supplied on your own cgi service £20.00 ($35.00 US) per item.
• Extra set of active buttons. £10.00 ($17.50 US)
• Extra Image map (an image where clicking on different parts of the image loads different pages) ----------£30.00 ($52.00 US)

How is this different to our Presence on the Web Service?

The Presence on the Web Service uses pre-made templates and offers no flexibility. If you wish to add extras or customize your website, you should choose our website construction service.

Full Web Site and Domain Name

• We will purchase web space, give you advice on choosing and registering a domain name, design and produce a web site of up to 15 pages. In addition to our fees, a monthly charge will be made for storage of your site, (this fee will be payable to your web hosting service). An additional fee will be payable for registering your domain, (this fee initially covers two years).
• production of your site on a 'host server' (paid web space).
• construction from information you provide, up to 15 pages.
• addition of up to an average of 1.3 images per page
• addition of up to 60 external links
• construction of a CSS menu or if essential, construction of frames and/or an image map to navigate your site
• addition of titles and META tags so that search engines can find your pages.
• registration of your site with 5 search engines
• setting up for you, 'domain based' e-mail addresses, e.g., yourname@yourdomain.com
• provision of access codes and passwords for you to maintain your web site.
• active buttons - set of 3 (See an example of an active button here)
• addition of sound if required to your pages -

Purchased as a web package - £1,200.00 ($2,100.00 US) plus hosting and registration fees

Full Web Site Construction and Management Services

Production and maintain the above web site, updating it as necessary for the construction fee plus a monthly fee of £100.00 ($175.00 US).
The fee covers:

• construction of up to 1 new page per month if needed
• minor web page maintenance to regular web pages up to an average of one hour per regular page over a 12 month period. Includes updating links and making minor changes to a sentence or paragraph. It does not including removing nearly all the text from a page and replacing it with new text.
• If the client or an agent other than JayDax Designs attempts to update the client's pages, pages will be restored to their proper state as produced by JayDax Designs. Correcting the work of others and repairing Web pages will be assessed at the hourly rate, and is not included as part of the updating time.
• Up to one hour per month advice on general Internet orientation education, marketing consulting, Web page design, editing, modifying product pages and databases, art, photo, graphics services, and helping clients learn how to use their own Web page editor.

Changes requested by the client beyond those limits will be billed at the hourly rate of £33.00 ($58.00 US). This rate also governs additional work authorized beyond the maximums specified above.

Where the web site was not constructed by JayDax web design services there is a verification charge of £15.00 ($26.00 US) per page on setup of the contract. Pages with errors being corrected at our normal hourly rate of£33.00 ($58.00 US)

For a further fee, we can arrange to collect and pass on orders taken by credit card

Fixing a FrontPage website (or Front Page Express, PowerPoint or Publisher web pages)

It's quicker (and more economic) to start again from the beginning. Budget on £100 ($175 US) per page.
